Picowrimo - Day 1

At twenty past midnight local time!

Greetings all. You know what to do. You know where to do it. Go! :)

I decided my project for picowrimo this year (other than my Yuletide story) would be a drabble (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drabble) a day, since I was recently reminded of how much I used to enjoy writing in that format.

First one of the month is now posted in my journal:

Oh, and I'm taking requests (http://forodwaith.livejournal.com/211450.html) if you'd like your own personalized drabble.

I'm envious of your ability to drabble to order so beautifully.

I have a lot of admiration for people who can write drabbles consistently.

I think it helps that I'm not particularly good at plot. Hard to make complicated things happen in 100 words.

That's a great project!

It's a chilly morning and that water on the back of the neck made me colder!

A drabble a day sounds like a good project and the one you've posted is really beautiful.

I figure they must be very conscious of it in space!

Lovely :) You do the drabble form really well. And you capture Kaylee well too.

Great drabble! Very in character for Kaylee.
Drabbles are very impressive!

(yay, another Yuletider)

Kaylee didn't set up an automated pump back home? :-) Great drabble, telling a lot about Kaylee very succinctly.

I handwave it by saying that she had trouble getting reliable solar batteries. But I'm sure that given a few more years, she'd have set up a wind-powered pump. :-)
