Thanks for posting this - I've been out 7am-6pm teaching... So no update for me today, I think.

I realised I'm in a state of not being in much next week, so I forced myself to sit down and write some of my script. And once I started I nearly couldn't stop (until I realised I had a scene that wouldn't die and no idea where I was going with it).

So I wrote 628 words today, for a total of 2511 - halfway there!

I was out this evening, so I nearly called it quits at 190 words when I reached the end of scene 6. But when I got home I decided to try getting started on scene 7, which brought me up to 270 today, and 5730 in total.

Small excerpt:
Gorn had stepped up beside his Guild leader. "So you'll go away if we say so, will you? But you bring Skurty to threaten us!"
Owutt tried to placate the man. "They're only an honour guard. The K'ten…"
"There's more of us," came a shout from Owutt's left. "We can take 'em"

My sparsest day so far: 189. I have, however, made a tentative stab at starting the traditionally bonkers Heyer finale.

It would, besides, have taken a more imaginative pair of lovers than ours to sustain a high romance upon a thoroughfare bearing so prosaic a name as Horse Street.

A late night, but busy earlier this evening, and determined to reach the half-way mark at the end of day 15.

“So, you’ve finished your games?”
Sir Rammel gave an enigmatic smile. “All my games with these striplings… But be assured, Your Majesty, on other fields I’ll play many a game for you yet.”

Managed to stay on target today with 354 words, and though the story still hasn't completely gelled in my head it has a bit more shape to it.

The city looked more prosperous than she remembered; but then as a child she had been more interested in the dusty pebbles discovered along the roadside than in the gilded roof of the sanctuary.

Another 200 words on my Yuletide story too, bringing it to 1900 words. I think I've even figured out the ending!?!
