Pico, Day 3

Here's today's post for your snippets, comments, thoughts.

May the words flow freely ;)

Thanks. I've ridden that section of Snake Pass once, and decided I didn't want to do it again. The very beginning part over the viaduct to the road round the reservoirs is bad enough.

Thanks!

Good work on those pesky character names.

Great progress there.

A great scene there.

Oh, I like that bit.

Brilliant work there.

:-D

[identity profile] saki101.livejournal.com 2015-07-04 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, oh, that would be too cruel!

[identity profile] saki101.livejournal.com 2015-07-04 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Rupert and Quinn did make it back unscathed though, didn't they?

Gosh, you're brave! A lot of those fast Derbyshire A-roads are death traps.

Thank you! Sometimes the different meanings of words just hand you a free gift :)

No lorry-related problems for them, I promise.

I was young and daft at the time ;-)

*Sigh of relief*

You get some done every day, which is great :)

I have NO idea what I'm going to call the one I'm doing write now :(

I have to admit, I have always befrudged the series Friends for co-opting the "The One Where..." idea, since the rest of us can't use it now (and it's sometimes just so temptingly easy!)) without people thinking we were thinking of the series...

[identity profile] sallymn.livejournal.com 2015-07-05 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I got the idea from reading about someone who spoonerized the phrase and never lived it down :)

It's pretty easy you put < blockquote> at the start of the passage and < /blockquote> at the end (without the spaces. It does make for an automatic page break (quite a wide one) at the end, so I adjust the < p > for that.

A lot of our military/police tough guys do it but I have to say, Sheppard seems to be one of the worst.

I've got to try that out soon. I've been using italics for some thoughts or dream sequences, but what to do when there are both?

[identity profile] sallymn.livejournal.com 2015-07-05 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
:)

[identity profile] sallymn.livejournal.com 2015-07-05 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the exact problem I had that inspired me to go looking for the blocking html :)

Oh, but she could do it accidentally on purpose!!! :)

Will I out myself as culturally naive if I say I've never watched Friends?
