Thank you! It's intriguing listening to the suggestion that I'm ok at description, because I feel I'm terrible at it. I wonder if the Chandler pastiche is giving me the need to stop and describe, where in other styles I just rush past?

That might be part of it. You're definitely painting pictures as you go along. And they're very effective pictures.

I hope I can transpose the knack into other styles. Who knows, I might even develop a style of my own one day.
