It doesn't sound like Rupert thinks he's causing anyone any worry. Did he leave a message about his plans that didn't reach Edward?

Rupert's tried to phone home a couple of times, but not managed to get through (and not wanted to leave a message when his thoughts about his parenatge were all jumbled up). But he knows Edward went off on his own as a teenager, and for much longer periods without communication as an adult, so he doesn't think people will worry about him.
