July Pico, Day 10

Here is today's post for your progress report, snippets and thoughts.

May the magic be with us all!

A half hour today, mixed in with at least another half hour's worth of watching the robins' nest under the eaves. Two young parent robins, busily feeding their two little ones. It's like an airport terminal here. The baby robins chirp frantically when mommy or daddy arrive with food, and I stop working to watch the birds!

I am working on revisions to the next part of the story. I'm glad I moved on. A refreshing change of scenery:)

Thanks! Only one baby left in the nest today. I missed the first flight of the other! Tomorrow I must get outside early.

Your robin chicks sound adorable! There was a male blackbird feeding post-nest chick on the verge by my bus stop the other morning, it entirely reconciled me to my bus being late.

We've had another batch of baby robins as well. We could see them from the window above the sink, and it was so much fun watching the little ones!

I had two wild turkeys in the yard yesterday with five turklets (?) Luckily they're big enough now that the cats wave them on by.

A change of scenery is always good!

Turklets. You nut job:) The cats had better watch out. Wild turkeys sound dangerous!

Aw that's lovely detail about the robins. Any chance they'll make it in to the story?

Hee, the story has birds in it, but they're not at all robin-like:)

Oh yes, watching baby birds would be totally distracting... for ages and ages :)

The tiny bird calls as the parents arrive with food are the perfect signal to stop everything and watch for a while:)
