So do I. She's that rare phenomenon, a mature woman who isn't played for comic relief in a TV-series.

She was strong, capable and The Doctor was an idiot to let her go. I miss her.

I was so chuffed when they started airing the Sarah-Jane Adventures (and rehabilitated K-9).

It's funny how that much derided genre 'soap' consistently gives us strong, capable older women. But then it assumes, like much of the Golden Age of Hollywood, that it's audience is predominately female.

If it were assumed to be predominantly male, it really would be considered 'day-time drama'. Although, of course, real drama can't happen until the evenings, when the Important Beings have got home from work.

Smarting from a conspicuous and public incident of mansplaining.
