I've stitched together another scene, most of which will have to be rewritten. I use a black pen for lines I take from the Professor and blue for my own ones - nowadays the black outweighs the blue, which means I'll have to rewrite about 60 per cent of what I'm stitching together, but I decided I don't mind. Once I have the framework together, I'll be better suited to work on the details. Still, it promises to be a gargantuan work, I'm afraid.
adaptation is the most challenging form of creative writing experience, imho. i think of you like wodehouse, taking something that people love and gently making something anew - tailoring in the true sense. a tough one!
sounds like you've made some serious progress. keep going!!
It is a necessity. I tend to keep too much of the Professor's stuff otherwise. When I see how much I've... erm... borrowed, there's no way out of rewriting the stuff.
I have several colors in my notebook. I switch to a new color every day, just for the fun of it. They're dark colors - lavender black, blue black, green black, bordeaux black, brown black. More than you wanted to know:)
