I didn't get anything written today, and tomorrow is also doubtful, as on Fridays I work all day - for another 3 weeks. I hold up my hopes for the weekend, though.

I pretty much have to write in the morning, as I work in a permanent afternoon shift and come home completely brain dead in the early evening. :( Even though my brain cells work best in the night.

I worked on a scene for an hour before work, and didn't accomplish much. Kind of unnerving how little I get done in an hour. Thoughts of how much time it's going to take to write and re-write are
beginning to haunt me at odd hours. My free time is soon to be gobbled up by a couple of things we're hosting - a poker game tomorrow night which is informal but still requires cleaning the house and some food/snack shopping and preparation. Next up: Thanksgiving for 25. I will do my food shopping on Sunday. All of Wednesday and Thursday will be given over to the holiday. Before we know it, December will be here, and I hope I will have my story finished by then so I'll have a good amount of time for tweaking.

Quite a successful day - 858 words, and I am starting to believe that a time will come when I am no longer writing about this trip :) Still no progress on the things I'm actually supposed to be working on, though.

I had been delighted to learn from the information boards at the bottom that the Welsh for zigzag was igam ogam, a word which just sounds wiggly

Welsh is a great language. After all, Tolkien used it as a template for creating Sindarin. ;)

I'm sure it is, but it just makes me feel inadequate - usually I get to feel quite smug, because I can pronounce Gaelic hill names better than 99% of people, but Welsh baffles me!
