March 2020 - Day 1

Here is the place to tell us about your daily success (or the lack of it)!
May the magic be with us all!

I'll put up the daily post in late afternoon or early evening, CET.

Most of what I did yesterday was playing with pictures - and walking on a very cold little hill once the wind died down a bit - but I managed some scrappy words at the end to get me going.

102 words, Saturday's walk.

Moncreiffe Hill's main claim to fame, really, is as the hill which the main road hugs for a while as it comes into Perth, before throwing itself across the river at Kinnoull Hill instead.

At least you got some exercise. I spent most of my day curled up in my chair with the cats and the fireplace.

It was a good day for that, but I have challenged myself to climb so many teeny hills before the end of March, and because of the regular awful weather every weekend I'm very behind!

I hope that you can catch up eventually!

Nice that you had a good day for a walk! Did you get hit by any of the bad storms the last couple of weeks?

I like the way every hill seems to have a name :)

We've had some pretty awful weather - regularly every Saturday - but we've definitely missed the worst of it. The rivers are well up their banks, but not in people's houses. On Sunday the wind was supposed to ease about 4pm, so I sneaked out between then and sunset.

I think in a small country everything has a name - I was reading an article last week about collecting Irish field names.

I like that sentence, it is a good vivid way to describe something that usually doesn't get much in the way of description...

Poor nondescript hill :)

Lovely description, but brrr, it must have been a chilly, vigorous outing, what with the weather and the hills!

Small hill, lovely views, but lots of wind. It took a *long* time to warm up again!

Snow for added coldness - there really wasn't any, except in the shelter of the wall.

Oh my gosh. What a view!

I am so impressed with your walks, and how you manage to get out hiking about in these conditions!
