Apologies for the late post. Just at the moment when I sat down to my PC, my mother took a fall in the loo, and it took the nice young woman next door and me almost two hours to somehow get her out of there and into bed. I'm still scared out of my wits, but it seems that we've been lucky - or our guardian angels are quite extraordinary. Still, it was a harrowing experience.
Oh my god, what a scare, I'm so glad you had help and were able to get her into bed. I hope she's not too bruised and hurting. Is it possible to have someone come check if everything is OK?
Bathrooms are dangerous--I think they should all come equipped with grab bars nowadays.
I just read your other post. What an awful thing to happen. I'm so glad your mum is all right. She's going to be pretty sore tomorrow, so I hope she will still be okay recovering at home.
Yeah, she's badly bruised, the poor thing. I hope we can manage it without any doctors or paramedics. That definitely isn't advisable for such an old person.
Oh my goodness - I have been there and it is scary, and not easy to get someone up when they are kind of wedged in beside the loo. So glad she is ok and in bed now.

I don't think our loo is big enough to install grab bars, though.
