No new words today but I typed up the finished scene, just in case I'd be able to actually use it. It's mostly about character interaction and manly bitching. *g*

In the end it was a sizeable group that gathered in Lester’s office. Aside from the ones he’d summoned, Matt and Philip joined the debriefing, too. As Ianto put it later, one could cut the testosterone in the air with a blunt kitchen knife, with Danny glaring at Matt in a hostile manner, Matt glaring at Jack in annoyance, Jack grinning back at him as infuriatingly as he could manage (which was a lot on a good day) and Philip trying to charm everyone into telling him everything, even matters that weren’t his business.

I found the first few lines of a second Sarah and Duck fanfic (actually the first one I started) while looking for something else, and decided I might add a bit. Still not very sure what's going to happen in the middle, Sarah's thinking is a bit beyond me at times :)

Lots of stopping and starting and deleting and let's try again today. Final result about 150 new words. Not a major accomplishment maybe, but another step forwards.

It's 61F, 16C and sunny outside. Sitting at the computer and trying to write wasn't easy :)

How did you stumble on this show, and what made you want to write it? I looked it up and it looks like a fun oddity but maybe not so easy to fanfic!

You see, that's why I write everything by hand first (among a dozen other reasons). I can sit with my real paper notebook and real pen anywhere and write. In theory. We won't discuss the actual facts here...

As for your word count, after all that struggle it caused you I think it's an important step forward. Go you!

One of my best friends has a four year old daughter whose favourite show it is, and it's become one of his favourites too - it really is funny for grown-ups as well.

No idea what made me want to write it, though, except that I looked it up on AO3 on a whim and there was only one fic. I was hunting all round the house one day for some Lost Black - a ball of wool - and realised that sounded like something Sarah would do...

Day 9: I worked on another little project today during my writing time. It's not writing on a story, but it's something I want to post on Easter along with my Easter Egg story.

As for my Egg, I haven't worked on it today. I thought about it, but that's not writing. I avoided working on it because I'm feeling so lazy today. But I will work on it for a while tonight right after dinner.

I was particular inspired today after I finished reading a longfic in my fandom, and added another 1,150 words to my exchange fic!

I find sometimes, that if I need to get past a bit of a bump, that taking my notebook and pen to a local coffee shop and sitting writing there works so much better than having the keyboard in front of me. I think there are less other things to do there, and nothing to read or play in the notebook :)

I've tried the notebook and pen method, but it doesn't work that readily for me. It's OK for notes, but not when I'm actually doing text for some reason.
