November 2021, Day 30

Also known as St. Andrew's Day, at least over here... and our session is coming to an end.

So, ladies and gents, let's share and tell each other what this November pico was like for each and every one of us!

See you all (hopefully) in March. May the magic be with us all!

Oi, St Andrew's Day is ours :D

Tonight I've mostly been finally posting some stuff that has been kicking around since I fell out with wordpress last year, and pretending it's been there all along - I don't think I've actually got to 100 words yet, but it's nice to get rid of some of the drafts. (The captions still aren't working properly - fine in the draft, peculiar in the post - but I'll ignore that for the moment.)

I haven't done nearly what I meant to, but I have written about one book, and done that, and written possibly my first walk report this year, so it's all something.

Day 30: I worked for an hour on my Christmas story. 200 new words. I'm still fiddling with the plot, but I'm sure I'll get things to my liking in the days to come.

Many thanks to our fearless leader [livejournal.com profile] wiseheart, for driving the Pico bus once again!!

Happy Holidays, everyone!

The patron saint of my church. :)
I haven't had much time to work on my essay, which I would have liked to post by the end of the week. Oh well. Still doing patient charts, comments, etc. :)

718 words today. I didn't quite get my exchange fic done by today like I thought, but my extension gives me until tomorrow, and I'm on the last scene, so it will be done in time!

Thank you all for being so supportive throughout the month. I had a rough start, and definitely a couple of days where I had to force myself to do my ten minutes, but on the flip side I had some wild, productive days to make up for them. It's always nice to have somewhere to report in, so thank you for that. Hope that November treated you all well, and see you in March! <3

Sorry I am late, I had visitors.

I've looked at and done some brushing up on the couple of large, and quite a few tiny freewritten, things I did this month. And I had to answer the question for my course on what I think I'm learning... which was hard and took rather more serious thought than I'm used to.

I didn't manage to finish the second chapter that I had planned — but during the month I did write part 2 of Conversations with Dead People, and am quite a long way through the chapter of Transmitting. Yesterday was so hectic I got nothing written at all — but it was actually a major success because I suddenly realised what the answer was to something that has been a puzzle/problem to me for a long time, and today I have time put aside to write it into the story :)

For anyone interested in Tolkien related things, I have been puzzled about what to do about Oropher — if he leaves Mandos does he again become the King of the Silvan-Sindar kingdom, and where would that leave Thranduil? And now I have a solution which actually fits into the place where I am!

A bit late to the course, out all day with doctors appointment (standard check in) and various other meh obligations.

I managed an acceptable amount of work this November. My story is taking shape, I managed to figure out where I'm going with it and what seems to be a suitable format to get there. I worked in a small segment that's tied in to the holidays, it was the least I could do since it is definitely not h/c :D :D
What can I say. It is however plenty emotional.

As always, pico gave me a way to focus on writing that's been hard to come by on my own over the past couple of years. As always, I will try to keep it up (hah) until we meet the next time, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in March.

And thanks [livejournal.com profile] wiseheart for keeping the pico tradition alive for us :)
