I also feel I ought to warn you that Dayna didn't survive, but then neither did Blake. I felt that some people had to die for believability, but I did give Dayna a story of her own in compensation, The Definition of Animals (http://www.farsight.net.nz/fiction/animals.htm). It's a pity the Characters of Colour website is no longer contactable because I wanted to offer it to them.
