Fic: Recollection

I have posted my story on my site's fiction page:

Lynx Part 4 - Recollection

Although it's the fourth part in a series, really, this one pretty much stands on its own. Briefly, it's set after the series, and Soolin and Vila are together and living on Lindor, working for Tyce Sarkoff (who doesn't even appear in this). Avon and Tarrant have their own spaceship. Tarrant recently found he had been programmed by Space Fleet to betray the crew, and Soolin discovered that her sister had been made into a mutoid after the rest of her family was killed. This story is all about the recovery of Soolin's sister.

I think that's enough, even for someone who doesn't know Blake's 7. :-) Vila's a thief, Soolin a sharpshooter, Tarrant a pilot, and Avon a computer expert, genius, and could possibly out-snark House--and they're all rebels. That's Soolin in the icon. :-)

It's moving towards a happy ending for everyone! (Well, everyone who isn't Blake ;-) Or otherwise dead). Ilka adds an intriguing new dynamic to the crew. She's got two such different sides to her newly integrated personality - the one Tarrant fancies, who doesn't like maths, and the ex-mutoid - and that mkes her very intriguing.

And now I know what you mean about the twist to the girder. It would have been fun to ride on one of those things, if it weren't so horrifically high up. I knew just how Soolin felt.

Having read the extracts on Pico, it was really fun spotting them in context. I found myself thinking "Oh, that's how that part fits in!" I'm really impressed by your self-discipline in keepng going on such a mammoth project - I remember you talking about you "big PGP" when I still lived in English - and now it's amost finished! Only one part to go. You must be feeling really chuffed.

It's great to see the final version. A hopeful ending and a new interesting addition the crew. Nicely developed story about mutoids with some of my favourite characters, what else could anyone ask? Maybe finding Cally as a mutoid and bringing her back ;)

Great story =)

I really enjoyed that, especially after having seen it take shape over the past month. I could feel for Soolin in the girder scene! I liked the fact that Ilka was able to retain an alternate thought process, it was unexpected and effective.

That all came together nicely, and I enjoyed seeing where the extracts I'd already read fitted into the whole.

Well done for reaching your goal!

An ill Avon as a patient of House?

P.S. I used to live in the village near here where the actor that played Avon lives.
