Day 4 (Team July)

Yes, I'm butting in here to post, because it's evening of the 4th here, and there is no post! So join me in the boasting progress reports and encouragement for this day's creative work!

Things are heating up! I assume from the novel you were writing that he gets away with it.

Thank you!
*nods* However, there are definitely some more scenes that I have to write to make the plot hang together and so on :)

whether John would be better off running from the whole relationship continues to be a question.

It feels like there's still a power differential and I can't help but wonder if Sherlock is ready to give that up.

Napoleon knows there's something Illya hasn't told him, and he's still trying to read between the lines.

He's trying not to scare Illya off since getting him to talk is like pulling teeth.

There's quite a bit of back and forth before this, and Napoleon thinks they're finally getting to the point.

Napoleon knows if he says the wrong thing Illya will skitter away again, it's like pulling teeth getting him to talk in the first place!

Well he knows Illya's been avoiding it!

Yeah, it comes after a long back and forth--I think I got it to work now though.

God forbid they show emotion! They're both making certain calculations.

After several days of no or limited progress, yesterday went well. Typed up/edited yesterday's words and added about 450 new ones, so my [livejournal.com profile] sutcliff_swap story is now officially started! I think my shortened idea is probably a goer. Phew.

Still behind on responding to other people's work. Sorry.

Kudos for making good progress despite stressful circumstances. Love your icon, by the way.

I like the way you're taking time to go through the emotions here. Keep at it!

Hope you have more time for writing tomorrow! And also feel less exhausted!

Kenyon sounds a complete prick. Wishing you luck with sitting on your inner critic.

I love their careful exchanges. Keep at it!

There must be a way of getting round the hole, there always is!

[identity profile] espresso-addict.livejournal.com 2012-07-05 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Kudos for keeping at it! If it turns out to be a series of linked stories in the same universe, that will work too, surely?

[identity profile] espresso-addict.livejournal.com 2012-07-05 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
This is really funny! I'd always assumed that a couple of trusted chaperones would be enough to guarantee posthumous paternity. Keep on worrying at the thing, it sounds as if you're very nearly there!

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2012-07-05 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I'll have to try to keep it up as I've never defaulted up till now.

[identity profile] espresso-addict.livejournal.com 2012-07-05 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Steady progress! I particularly enjoyed the detail about the Brylcreme.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2012-07-05 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I'm good at energy conservation.

[identity profile] espresso-addict.livejournal.com 2012-07-05 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Me too!

I have someone working on a 900 year family history.

He's no more. Hence the call to the poilce (why get minions to tidy up after you when the authorities can do it instead?). And, yes, it does present a major difficulty.
