Strange fair hair? Has it changed colour do to what Sherlock's gone through?

Sherlock's been out and about doing things, but in disguise to maintain the cover of being dead, so he'd dyed his hair dark blond. The choice is fairly inconspicuous unlike red or light blond, but it is also similar to John's hair colour.
