Day 16 (Team July)

My heartfelt thanks to [livejournal.com profile] elmey for taking over the duties while I was enjoying the beauties of North Germany.

Here's today's prompt for your writing updates and for any extracts, thoughts, or comments you might have.

Keep the fires burning! :))

One can never have enough intrigue! Well, probably one can, but I do want to make this a really tangled web before I start unravelling it again.

In canon, it's a proverb referring to the monarch's hair. Alexander von Winterstadt is an original character, popularly known as 'Red Alex' because of his short temper and his very red face.

Thank you! These two make a complicated pair.

Rest and having fun are good! If you are tired it is good to allow yourself time to recover. :)

Yay! Thank you.
I'm ending up with so many original characters in this because there are hardly any canon characters name, but hopefully they will all fit the setting, story etc (after all even most of the canon characters have very little development)

I'd like 1.5 K comfortably.

But now here comes the big decision. Should I be thinking of it in terms of 1 book, or 2? That's a decision which will affect how I proceed and I need to know how likely it is that I can pull it off...

I love how the emotions are woven in with the practical details about selling the car and buying another for resale at the end of the trip, deciding which things to pack or post and which to discard (symbolism, ahoy!).

Yes, and no matter how much fun a vacation is, travelling is tiring and rest necessary (so perfect for carrying on with those DVDs for a while longer).

Thanks. Although it's actually a motorbike he's bought there.

The flow of the story is going to be different if you have two books--though if you don't want to give up that much of the material you have it's an option. I'd sleep on it ;)

Aha! No wonder he can't carry much with him.
