Yesterday was a bit of a washout; I was hoping to write a lot, and instead I wasted time and slept. Nevertheless 336 words seem to have crept onto the tally somehow.

Losing one suitor to a duel was appalling, unspeakable! Losing two—the vocabulary of a lady simply did not stretch to the event.

I fear I'm suffering from the Dreaded Expectations Creep. Also, more rationally, starting to get nervous about my promised yuletide story, which I haven't even thought about yet, and will take some considerable ingenuity.
