Phew. Well, I'm back, and I'm proud to say that in the midst of a family emergency and all the attendant chaos, exhaustion and faff, I have nevertheless managed to keep writing. Torchwood 6 is up at my journal, I've got another short fanfic on the go, and I even managed a second draft of some proper original fiction.

And: the upshot is that... under the PicoWriMo 'no rules' rules, I did it!

Very little done last night, beyond poking at a couple of big "oops!" moments in TNTAML.

Question for y'all: if I wrote a little bonus story based on TNTAML containing cuddling and kissing but not a lot more between a 13 year old boy and an 18 year old boy, how squickful would that be to people? (Also there is a big twist involving the 18 year old and someone older than him, but I can't say anything more about it...) I know that scenes between teens and *adults* are taboo, but...

Er, only 68 today. Did do some editing of ch10 & planning of ch11. Best of all, I got out of the house for the first time in 10 days!

I'm up to 4160 words of chapter 5, which is nicely on target still. Nothing particularly spectacular, but it's words towards the total.

Good: I'm still pecking away with 132 words yesterday, 279 today, which puts me just over ninety percent. That calls for a progess bar:



Bad: I realized I've completely overlooked a huge canon issue in my yuletide story. Sigh. I don't know whether to try to handwave it or scrap what I've got so far and start over.
