Most of my writing time is on the train - which doesn't do much for my handwriting, but I've moved back to fountain pen, which has improved matters.

I'm trying. And I almost believe it myself - until something comes back from a helpful beta. I have a way too thin hide, that's he problem, I'm afraid.

Exactly! And the fact that English is my third language doesn't help. I tend to use English grammar as if it were German (which is my second language), unless I'm paying more attention than it is healthy for my writing, and that, of course, doesn't really work...
