First again?

Well, works for me. Good news for today: I wrote almost three pages for the "Sleeping Dragons" story and even managed to type them up. Also, I began posting A Big, Fat Torchwood Wedding to AO3 - 7 chapters are up, the other seven still to go. I hope I'll manage to put up at least some of them tonight.

Today's snippet:

“Mr Palmer will follow us independently,” Owen filled in the others after dinner. “He will try to infiltrate the lab later, should Teaboy fail to arrange for us an official visit.”
“And what are we supposed to do in the meantime?” Jenny asked. “Can we really go and see the Skarasen? I would so like to meet it in the flesh!”
“The what?” Adam asked, bewildered.
“The Loch Ness monster,” Jenny replied matter-of-factly.
Adam’s eyes bulged a little at that. “Are you telling me that Nessie is real?”

Heh, my family's ancestral castle sit on the banks of Lock Ness (yes, for real, real). I'd love to meet Nessie, but she was being shy the day we were there last.

And you bet your kilt she's real! :D

Sadly, there isn't much left to it and it was given to the government because no one wanted to cough up the money for the back taxes.

Amazingly beautiful, even in its ruins! I do have a soft spot for castles. It is a shame you no longer have it, but I guess keeping it would have been way beyond everyone's budget. :(

What I humbly like to call brainstorming today... I decided to take a break from the dialogues (the hardest ones are still waiting though...) and see if I can work up some ideas for my hurt-comfort bingo. I do have a little list of the hurtees I am fondest of, poor boys...

We often enough don't realize the good brainstroming does for our story. But we'll discover it in hindsight... or so I hope. *g*

Just popping in to say hello. Last week was lots of work and lots of fun with company and grandsons in residence. I missed three days of writing, but fit in some time the other mornings. I didn't get all that much accomplished. Things are back to normal now, husband has gone back to work, the grandsons have gone home. The house seems unnaturally quite after all the hub-bub last week:) I hope you all have had a good week and good progress with your writing projects.
