YAYAYAYAY, I got the damned story finished and posted! So, so relieved. Also added another 100 or so words to finish up my last Easter Egg. Not bad for being half asleep!
Only a couple pages added last week. As usual, the weekend, Friday - Sunday was completely booked, now it's Monday, and back to reality:)
I wanted to be done with the first draft by now, but I'm far from it. But I have a relatively free week this week, and our travel plans for Spring Break next week have fallen through, so I'll have a good deal of time on my hands. My goal is to finish the draft this week.
Although I'm not making much progress, I'm thoroughly enjoying myself when I'm working on the story, so it's all good!
No words today. Again. *sigh* As I work in the permanent afternoon shift, my writing time is usually around 9 o'clock in the morning, for as long as I can stay at it - usually an hour or two. And then I type up stuff in the weekend.
But today Mum wanted to go to the bank because she had some questions about her account, so we went to the bank, where she intimidated the poor guy at the counter within an inch of his life. Mum used to work for a bank in her youth and after that she was a lead book-keeper for half a century, so nobody can pull a veil over her eyes. The poor guy didn't have a chance. I think he gained several grey hairs in those 25 minutes.
It was actually funny to watch my 86-year-old, fragile and bird-like mother make a grown man sweat. But it ate my so-called spare time completely. The risks of living with an elderly parent - not that I'd miss her for the world!
