Early post today because I'm not sure I'll be able to get to the computer in the evening.

Here is the place to tell us about your daily success (or the lack of it)!

May the magic be with us all!

I spent much of my free time on the 1st thinking about things to write...

But on the 2nd I began something. None of the things I might have expected, but a re-telling of the story of Joseph from the Bible, following on from a talk with the manager of the tiny Christian Bookshop where I volunteer.

OK - it got to about 250 words - but I am actually really pleased with it.

Six colours sounds like a lot of keeping track and stranding! I am currently being lazy and using self-patterning wool for a couple of projects!

okay, you've done it now, you've got me started..... i'm into the realms of ferretconspiracy here, but the moment in any scifi when something really good is going on, the executive powers that be pull a Friedberger and the writing goes to pot. it's like some alarm bell goes off and someone says "we can't do this, it's too good, and the ideas are too intense it's like staring into the sun of truth, kill it, kill it now." so we end up with something that's like having the air sucked out. very odd, very jarring. they did it with Stargate Universe too, just when it was getting good, they pulled the plug on the story arc and killed it.

ah well, let me share *rummages about* you need to read up about poppets and mommets and *rummages more* and this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sympathetic_magic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sympathetic_magic) because that has all you need to know about 'animating' stuff....

Yakisoba works for me!
I've long wanted to try that recipe--I'm glad to hear that it's a good one.

It's intarsia in broad stripes, so the knitting itself isn't so bad, it's just keeping all the balls from winding round each other while they're waiting....
Pattern here (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rainbow-waves).

I do love knitting things that make their own patterns as they go, though :-)
