Early post today because I'll be busy baking later. *g*

Here is the place to tell us about your daily success (or the lack of it)!

May the magic be with us all!

I sat this morning and wrote just over 1,000 words without pause. I am quite amazed. Now to go back, re-read, and adjust as required!

Here is a snippet;

No-one knows what happened on the other ships. But the ship of Captain Manwë continued to follow the course set for it and its crew, or Valar in their own language, studied, and advanced their knowledge and abilities, in the long hours when little was required of them.

I decided to grit my teeth and dust off one of my 'in-progress' Batman stories. I've gotten 15 pages in...

The roof was covered, but the gunman was busy concentrating on the policemen below, not watching his back against marauding bats. Stupid, really, but that was the criminal element for you. If they had any brains, they'd chose another profession.

Batman wrenched the man around and off his feet with one yank. This was his favorite parlor trick and it never failed to impress his quarry.

"Let me go," the man pleaded hoarsely, his hands tearing the black gauntlets.

"Is that really what you want?" Batman asked hoarsely, a smile tweaking the corners of his mouth. Never let it be said that the Batman was without a sense of humor. The man abruptly became aware of the fact that his toes were not only dangling inches from the roof surface, but that they were also suspended over the edge.

A spotlight suddenly caught them both in a shower of near-blinding white light, but the effect only further served to make the crimefighter look more opposing.

"Yes… No!" It suddenly sunk in that it might not be to his own benefit to be released.

Re: my silly poem. I can't really count words since I have syllable limits per line... BUT, I found a few more good rhymes and my stanzas are sort of shaping up. There are too many of them now, I need to get to the point faster, but things are going in the right direction. It's an interesting puzzle.

Did a bit of research for my other story, I think it's going to be a series of short vignettes though how often have i changed my mind once I start writing.

It's in the 60s today (around 18C), back to seasonal temps next week, but right now spring is glorious :)

I am not very exciting to have around - I knit, and I write about the Isle of Wight.

I have done both these things today - 880 words and the third day finished, so I will have to get on with tackling the second day, which was longest. All this rather delayed by the computer having a hissy fit and refusing to close a tab it didn't like or change back to the tab I was writing it - fortunately it eventually decided to reload the tab with my words still there...

However further disappointment was still to come - the pub at Shalfleet had closed down, so, as I said at the time, I couldn't even be an ignominious failure With Beer.
