Thanks! I'm trying to get finished, but I seem to have spent a large portion of the day in the kitchen and soon we are headed to a friend's house to swim.
No new words today, although I did type up the finished scene. Well, the first finished scene anyway. The second one comes tomorrow, or so I hope.
I was thinking of taking a break from this story, though. I've reached Chapter 31 (some of them double chapters, broken in two parts, so I've got practically 35 parts written), but still have to write at least 23 more. And churning out a new chapter every week is starting to become a burden. So, I think I'll set it aside after the end of the current pico session before I burn out, and pick up another WIP that desperately needs my attention.
Of course, if I manage to get through the next two parts, which include lots of telepathic mumbo-jumbo as well as my own twist of Sheridan's actions on Z'ha'dum, I might reconsider. Those are the parts I'm deadly afraid of, because they promise to be insanely difficult to write. I only hope that my 'short break' wont last nine years again.
I don't know how anyone can do chapters. Honestly, I only managed one and I was bored with it long before I finished. I'm just not a 'book' person. My hat is off to you!
I'd like to write something short from time to time. If I could, perhaps people would be more inclined to, you know, actually read my stuff. I've given up hope on positive comments, but a few more hits, at the very least, would be nice.
It's hard when you pour body and soul into something and no one responds to it, then slap something together and everyone raves. Oh well, if what we did was easy, everyone would do it.
