A bit more than a page translated - which means, the current chapter would be done, if not for the dratted infodump page (or two) I've left out. I'm actually considering of leaving it out entirely; or rewriting the scene in a much shortened version. Who aside from me would be interested why the dratted bugs are named the way they are?
One hour today, writing time, mostly head-scratching:)
Followed by 2 hrs closing my flower beds. Whew. Big job. The too-early snow has melted for the most part, and it's sunny, 40F. So we are doing our final fall clean-up at last. Tonight we're off to a movie, Ford vs Ferrari.
I thought I might get lots done today, because I didn't have anything in particular planned, but instead I spent the day traipsing about Edinbugh in the rain - I kept thinking of more places I might as well go while I had the chance, and most of them didn't even have what I was looking for.
However, I decided to get my act together and at least finish the walk report. 500 words, give or take one or two.
I'd been dreaming all day about reaching the sea and cooling down, but now I was here there wasn't really any beach - or anywhere to change - and I didn't really have any time for swimming.
I also fell back in with the library, and adjudicated in an argument about whether it was right to put a costume on a cat!
A different sort of writing today. I started the massive task of writing Christmas cards. I remember my mum setting up the card table right after Halloween and starting. Thanks to computers, addressing envelopes is easier, but still there are the insides. So, no fic writing, but I got my overseas cards done and most of my LJ friends taken care of. *yay*
