I've finished typing up Chapter 9. If I manage to keep up this speed I might even transcript the whole story by the end of March. *fingers crossed*
Which would be a good thing as April promises to be a very busy month choir-wise. We'll have several concerts with both choirs, which means extra practice and lots of time devoted to singing.

Excerpt:

“I understand,” Uhura said; and she did, really. Despite the heroic achievements of several past generations, the Dairu could only hope to survive if their scientists remained one step ahead of the environmental changes all the time. “What I don’t understand is… what do you expect from us?”

“We ask you to help us win some time,” Kadre’el answered seriously. “If we could prevent a confrontation just a little longer, the new Eldest, the Queen predestined to take over Mer’s place, will emerge from the cocoon. Once she’s born, the Swarm will have to stay here for at least another generation. And then it will be already too late.”

“I’m afraid for us it already is too late,” Shhoiy’s grim voice said from the outside. The Honour Guard has just invoked the Vrek’kesht Emergency Protocol. We’re doomed.”
