Illya is definitely my favorite, but he's almost always better with a side of Napoleon. :D

I wonder who made the track?

The farmer, I suppose - I really can't see any reason why someone *else* would come and mow a small strip of his field shorter - but I really don't know what for!

I can see why it makes you wonder.

It wasn't a very exciting hill, I had to wonder about something :)

Like the Dawn Treader's galley at the front :-)

The painted pennants aren't necessarily wrong, but if a tail wind is what you've got... :-) It's a lovely image, everything straining forwards!

There's a lot of that going around here, too.

Thank you! I am so pleased that the image works for you.

At first I was just going to have them streaming behind, but then I thought that the impression Tolkien gives is a fair tail wind all the way and so, logically, the pennants would blow in the direction of travel - and I rather liked the image.

I was tempted to spend my writing time today on the personal journal, because I really love doing that.
But. But. But. I have to get my Easter story done:)

It was nice to do some journaling in between the Easter project:)

Many cancellations here, too. Good luck with the scribbles!

I suppose a track leading from nowhere to nowhere is unexciting (thinking here of many a hike we've taken in the woods and tried a side-path which winds up nowhere), but I love the way you put it. By adding 'in particular' to make it 'nowhere in particular', it evokes an image of a once-upon-a-time short-cut, now fallen into disuse.

That's lovely, very visual and her emotions come through well without being too obvious.

Journaling is also writing, and good for the mental muscles.

Tell me about it, the cancellation of the Formula 1 in Melbourne was an even bigger fiasco - major teams had to start withdrawing before they did it!

But the skating... it is a dampener on what was going to be a weekend of streaming all night and sleeping all day, and it's annoying that they left it until all the skaters and many fans had travelled across the world, and THEN only cancelled because the Quebec authorities overruled them.

Hey, those two in the icon are among the 'good looking' people I was trying to write descriptions of for practice the other day, and complained about how much harder it was...

Our PM is bringing in a ban for anything with over 500 people... after the football this weekend. Sometimes my fellow Aussies make me headdesk.....
