No new words for me. I had a very exhausting day and when I found some free moments I voted for therapeutic paper embroidery. You can check out the results on my own journal.

However, I did think a bit about the other story on my plate for this pico session — it just didn't lead to any actual writing. Still, I might switch to it in the next days, as all I'll have to do is to reshape a canon scene to fit the crossover I'm working on. Not that that would be easy, but at least I have something to work with. *fingers crossed*

Clinic notes for me today. When I had time I listened to CME (Continuing Medical Education).

I find spending time thinking whilst doing something unrelated, in my case knitting, can result, a couple of days later, in having the whole scene in your mind ready to write it down. I can see the paper embroidery having the same effect.

Thank you. I think I like going back to Dol Amroth now and again because I love writing about the sea — it tends to turn up in at least one of any set I do about Imrahil's family.

It's actually nice to have a couple of stories in mind so that when you get stuck on one, the other might loosen up and let you move forward.

Do you feel that the stories are thematically far enough apart that they don't interfere with each other when you think about where you're going with them?

I like the imagery in all of them, but particularly in #3. The sense of play and the way the children interact is very strong in all of them.

It's a struggle (for me) to even want to try to write when I find myself second-guessing and disliking what I've come up with. Blah. Oh well, the solution is to keep going, find a bit I do like and try to add to that. Sooner or later (hopefully sooner, as there's a deadline involved) things start working. Just have to push through these doubtful days.
