July 2021, Day 28

Here is the place to tell us about your daily success (or the lack of it)!
May the magic be with us all!

Like you, I'm waiting for the fall cool-off which is at least seven weeks away.
Best of luck to you surviving August.
Once I have my Hubby back at work (he's a college professor who has his summers off) and it's cooled off, I'll be better able to do some serious writing.
As for right now, day-dreaming is about the limit....

I'm just about hanging on, although not very good at commenting. 104 words on the canal book.

and trade opened out as the old monopolies were broken, with trading companies moving beyond closed membership and inviting investment in stock from anyone the money to spare

112 new words on an original work today!

I managed around 600 words. It was such a pleasure — I finally wrote a scene that has been in my head for, literally, years!

Excellent!

It sounds as if it will be a really interesting book — I'd read it.

That really is too hot to write. Here it was cool (only 18C) and damp, and it really was easier to write.

It is so much easier to write when your brain is not in danger of melting, I absolutely agree.

It really is! Somebody has just seen, for the first time, something I planted for them in an earlier story about 7 or 8 years ago!

That's wonderful!
One of my favorite movies started out pretty much the same way: On a romantic tour of Tuscany, Italy. The name of the movie is “Under the Tuscan Sun”.
It's my favorite plot line/theme too: People having to start over--having to re-invent themselves--after something ruined their past lives.
Have you come up with a plot line/theme yet or are there more than one?
