So, noble contributors, our time is over for the July session. What was this month like for you, writing-wise?

Finished out the month with another triple drabble. All together, I wrote 18.5k this month! Mostly for Battleship, which was so much fun I will definitely be participating again next year. Thanks so much for running this and giving me somewhere to check in and keep myself accountable! <3

Well, aside from the inability to Net when I want, I have been noveling (really, IDEAING noveling — and ideaing is totally a word), which also seems to consist of coming across Old Stuff and being egged on by hubby to just Novel It already. So. Productive in a way. Less productive in other ways, lol!

I am so gad you ran it for us — I had four goals when we started -

1. beta the last 3 chapters of [livejournal.com profile] ellynn_ithilwens novel length tale of dwarves.
2. upload around a chapter a day of my existing works to AO3.
3. Write at least one chapter of the WIP.
4. write up at least 2 of the local history recordings for the project I volunteer for.

Achieved —
1. beta completed
2. I managed a daily chapter to AO3
3. I was on a roll — I managed THREE chapters!!
4. I did manage the 2. I must get on and do more, but the Olympics and the writing got in the way.

So I am really pleased — they were all realistic goals, but I am really proud of achieving them :)

I did a terrible job this month. Started off pretty well, but after the first ten days or so just completely lost my ability to concentrate and frittered and fiddled and gave up in the end, I was absolutely uninspired, and have no real excuses.

I did spend the time I'd set aside to write reading, mostly non news related non-fiction and some poetry, so it wasn't a complete loss. But I really need to find a way to get back my writing mojo. I will try to get energized for November!

That said, I'm glad to see that some of us did what they wanted to do, it's nice to see others' accomplishments too :) As always thanks to [livejournal.com profile] wiseheart for managing pico so well for the rest of us.
