November 2021, Day 19

This is the place to tell us about your daily success (or the lack of it)!

May the magic be with us all!

I have had a good day :) I have finished the chapter of the WIP — I did about 1,100 words this afternoon and revised some of what I'd already done, and the chapter comes in at around 3.750 words. Now to pass it to my beta.

Here is a bit focussing on Spike -

Spike looked deeply into the wine glass. As the contents caught the light he was reminded of blood. Blood drunk from a similar glass, from a mug, on Weetabix… or straight from the neck of the victim, still pulsing out until their heart realised the situation was hopeless. And yet Maedhros believed he, Spike, should be free to go and live in the outside world, see the stars, feel the sun, see Dawnie… but not himself.

Tough one.

A very successful day then. Very good description of a contemplative Spike!

Thank you. It felt good to have it all fall into place and fit at last.

That's it exactly! All the bits of conversations, and the points of the argument suddenly fell into order and made a logical whole. It is so good when it fits together like that!

Thank you.

Ooooh, that's good (the throwing in of the mundane 'Weetabox' is great, gives it extra pulse and personality).

Thank you! Back in the original series it was mentioned that Spike ate Weetabix with blood on, so I can't really take credit for the idea — just for remembering to use it in the right place.
