So, I've written the first draft of the exorcism scene, complete with divine (or rather angelic) intervention and bastardized Sumerian mythology and stuff. I foresee many, many corrections, but at least it is done now, and the rest of the chapter is just tying up threads. I'm very relieved.
I have still not started yet since one small task or another distraction keeps getting in the way, but officially declaring my intent to get a least some editing done tonight
No writing on Day 3 and 4. Just too much going on and I turned into a sloth during the little free time I had.
But I'm back at it today. This morning I wrote and transcribed 350 new words, and I will spend time looking for an episode in which Illya Kuryakin briefly thinks Napoleon has been killed. I can't remember which episode it was. I want to take a fast look at it to see how to use this specific bit of the episode in my story. I hope it won't take too long to find the episode.
In other writing activities, I will create the Weekly Reader post for mfuwss, and write some overdue notes to some friends.
I posted the prompt ficlets from yesterday… the first, an extremely silly but fun (for me!) one with the prompt 'dragons' I redid a bit of what I wrote, and then a bit more, and so today added enough to make it just over 1200 words (nothing happens, of course, this is me). It's for the Chalet School books by Elinor Brent-Dyer (https://rthstewart.dreamwidth.org/173768.html?thread=13775560#cmt13775560), but don't worry if you've never heard of them :)
I did another for that prompt, a tiny tiny and very silly snippet (three sentences for once! - and only 69 words) from the Dragonriders of Pern (https://rthstewart.dreamwidth.org/173768.html?thread=13776840#cmt13776840) universe :)
And this one for The Untamed (https://rthstewart.dreamwidth.org/173768.html?thread=13777096#cmt13777096), based on the prompt 'hair braiding' (with Nie Huaisang and Jin Guangyao).
And I have a couple of ideas to write up in the next day or two :)
Managed about 15 minutes of X-Files fan fiction writing last night, and worked on finishing one scene and writing another.
I'm working my way through a murder mystery story that's inspired by "The Man with Two Brains" but having a subplot involving the Smoking Man that isn't going to be explained — yet.
