Last night I tried to nudge the plot forward a bit. Wrote a paragraph, then tore it up. Rewrote the paragraph — I tentatively hope it might work this way. Now if I could only figure out how to nudge the plot further forward! It is so little left to be written, but it's like pulling teeth. *sigh*

Happy Women's Day everyone!

I have run my two trusty spellcheckers on chapter 4, which I think is gonna be all that I can manage today. I have been dragging myself through the day trying not to fall asleep.

Oh damn, being stuck like that is annoying. I hope you can get past that hurdle soon. Any way to skip this tricky spot and get back to it later?

My 250 words on paper yesterday have been polished, added to and extended so that I finally added around 500 to the version on the computer. I was really happy with that.

Spell checking is an important part of the process. I still find people who write about horsemen reigning in their horses.

That's true. And after a certain number of rounds of rereading and tweaking, I end up not seeing my own typos anymore. So software helps for sure

Not really. It is the spot that prepares the finishing of the chapter; and the entire story, actually, as this is supposed to be the last chapter, save perhaps a short epilogue. It is basically filler stuff, but it has to make sense to reach the intended outcome.

Thanks, I'll need it. The annoying part is, I only need to write a couple of pages to finish the story in its entirety, and these few paragraphs just refuse to come together in a sensible way.

Yeah, exactly. Setting it aside for some weeks does help a little, but considering the basic typos the spellcheck found though I was just editing the other day... It happens.

I sorta failed all round, didn't do the writig I planned but I did do some of my studies reading and posting, and spent several hours fighting with one of our laptops to get the new virus program to work properly (the problem wasn't it, it was me, but do you think that made me any happier?)

But I did do — no let me be honest, overdo — the name research :)

I always find the end hard (if I'm writing something with actual plot, which doesn't happen all that often) because the storylines have to be wrapped up and all threads settled. I hope you get it all sorted out!

Spellcheck is our friend — even if sometimes a not very bright one, I hate to think what I'd do without it.
