Pico plans for Team July

A place to post your pico-plans for the mid-year season. This is for Team July; I'm a little late wih it, but yesterday was a bit stressful. My apologies.

Remember:

"There are no goals other than those you set for yourself, and no compulsion beyond what you put upon yourself. There are no limits on genre, style, age, or experience, and both fiction and non-fiction are welcome."

Keep the fires burning!

To finish, edit and post the epic Zenda fic.

If time, to return to the Christian Union saga and see if it's salvageable.

I am intrigued - and possibly slightly frightened ;-)

I was at Exeter when this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/6232869.stm) (BBC news link) all kicked off. I have about 100K words about this. It worked quite nicely for processing my feelings (which, as you can imagine, were manifold) about the kerfuffle, and I would like to see if it will also make something readable.

In July, I very much hope I can finish the section that includes the "freezer" scene and, since that involved skipping ahead in the story, the part of the plot that I jumped over! If those goals are accomplished and the sections edited and posted, I can either proceed or return to one of my other WIPs (numerous as they are).

My plan is to continue, or possibly finish, Heirs and Grace. I have it mostly planned out, although my characters may yest surprise me.

I'm still dithering so don't feel ready to start, but I did manage to get my most recent OU assignment in early so I'm not rushing to do that too.

But I really should simply go back to the Zombie Cat from last November and carry on. So, a little progress every day on that, or some sensible alternative.

I'm fairly new to this community, but have been lurking for about 2 weeks reading inspiration posts from Team June. I have quite a few things that I need to get on with and thought this was a motivating way to do it.

I have a 1000 word case study for my professional based qualification to complete that has so far proved a little difficult because there is no set date for me to have this qualification completed by- Team July offers me a chance to set a realistic target.

I would also like to have up to 8000 words on my Person of Interest Big Bang fic completed and maybe another 1000 of my own fiction

I'm glad you're joining us. It's amazing the good effect pico has on writing habits :) Looking forward to reading some snippets from you--even case study snippets!

Thank you.

I have three stories that I need to polish and post for the Not_Primetime exchange. Plus I seem to be making progress with the Firiel story and so would really like to keep on with it as well.

Well, my plans for July are:
1) Work on a piece for the SSHG Exchange - this is actually craft, not writing, but I'm listing it here because this comes first in my priorities, so I won't be writing until I finish it.
2) After that, to Write Something Every Day on my HP AU story, "Harry Potter and the Lore of Fiction".

I plan to write my [livejournal.com profile] sutcliff_swap story. I've never written in the fandom or historical period before, and my only idea so far is complicated and might well run to 5000 words or more, so I'm not setting myself any other targets at the moment.

I'm going to finish the June story, hopefully in the next few days. Then in gets put in a folder until it's time to post it and I swear not to go back and make more changes.

I want to spend time on my by now epic WIP "Breaking Glass" for the rest of the month. It's all MFU stuff. One trick pony, that's me :D

I'm carrying on trying to write something every day on the Wimseyfic sequel. June turned into 12-hour days of translation work instead but I did manage about 600 words and am more determined to stick at it for the next 3 weeks until I go on holiday.

[identity profile] nineveh-uk.livejournal.com 2012-07-01 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
To keep working on the Potterverse/wimsey crossover. There's going to be a slight hiatus when I'm on holiday - and beforehand, when I need to pack - but I hope to come back relaxed to put in some work in the last fortnight.

Continue work on the MFU wip I worked on in June.

I just went insane and signed up for a Big Bang, so I want to get started on that. Plus I have about 3 WIPs that I would like to finish up.

July is always a slightly awkward month, which is why I signed up for team June. However, I seem to be on a roll so I'm going to carry on trying to write when I can. Continuing with the same story. Nominally I'll aim for about 3/4 of what I achieved last month and see how that pans out.

Yeah, still here if only just. I want to either finish my Lightning Bolt story or write 10,000 words, whichever comes first.

I haven't done well in June (I certainly don't write every day) but at least I'm 40% there.

I'm going to sit out this one as well. I've lately noticed that real life just doesn't seem to leave much room for anything, really, and so I had to decide between getting a decent night's sleep & having time to brush up my French skills and sitting down to struggle against writer's block. I don't really regret it, but I hope you all have tons of fun and inspiration.
