Apologies for the late post today, a combination of work commitments and being frankly wiped out after a last push to hit my NaNoWriMo target over the weekend (did it - yay!).

After my lack of inspiration of the past few days, I decided to switch projects to my yuletide assignment. Currently in the review-the-source phase, which may take a few days, so no writing progress as yet.

I'm still fiddling with TNTAML. I added a bit to a conversation that seemed too short. Probably a couple hundred words.

(And started a terribly trite little story about one of my male leads and his first M/M experience, as I was considering doing yesterday. It's really awful right now, but hopefully it's fixable.)

Writing always seems to generate more to write about.

I wrote 335 words on mine tonight for a total of 4684, so another similar amount will finish it off. Mind you, I keep changing my mind about how I'm going to end it, so it will probably end up being more than 5000 words.

I'm afraid I cheated.

I really haven't written much today, but as with one point in chapter 4 there was an opportunity to graft in a pre-existing scene from the stock-pile. It's what the plan called for, and in some ways it's more appropriate than I'd expected, but at the moment I've not managed to bring that out. The chapter 5 word count is at 5200 or so but those last ~400 words are going to be hard.

Much sympathy on those final few hundred words - the last 250/300 on NaNo took me ages on Sunday evening. I ended up finding a section that I thought lacked description and just started typing.

Thanks to a brilliant suggestion from altariel1 that I drabble my way through the last 500 words, I managed all of 191 today.



I'm going to try to polish off the last 200-odd words tomorrow...
