Have been slack for a couple of days, but have done some work today. I found two plotholes, luckily not too big, but they will need thought before filling, so have highlighted them in bright red and a few notes - the onscreen equivalent of a red pen (and how is is that I always manage holes in stories that aren't that long to start off with???) I also re-discovered (because it happens every every time) that when one writes a stories with a mixture of third-person past tense and second-person present...? The tenses always always get muddled. So have made a note to do a once over when I finish and edit, PURELY to check the tenses (I do like to make life hard for myself)
400 words is excellent progress -- kudos -- as is finding plot holes. I think they're an inevitable side effect of having even the simplest of plots, sadly.
They are. I have one piece I have been starting at the hole in for several years - can't think how to fix it, can't finish without fixing it, can't bring myself to delete it...
Or a very oblivious audience. The problem is that the only the story will work is if the Main Character gets a total brain blackout, not just once but for something like ten pages...

Hmm... Bad case of falling in love/lust. Nervousness around difficult boss. Blind spot is linked to some past trauma character can't remember. Or if all else fails, a mysterious brain-eating virus? Actually what often works is to acknowledge how silly it was for MC to forget whatever it is, so that alert readers can feel all smug, then swiftly move on.
