This thread is to describe your next planned project starting in December.  It can be any length.  In November some went for 500 or 5000 words, one or two even for 10000 or 20000.

This seems a good place to repeat Altariel's excellent prose about what Picowrimo is about ...
  • The aim of this community is to help keep people writing.
  • To this end we have (at least weekly) prompts for people to post about what progress they're making and to give encouragement to others to hit their writing targets.
  • There are no goals other than those you set for yourself, and no compulsion beyond what you put upon yourself. There are no limits on genre, style, age, or experience, and both fiction and non-fiction are welcome.
  • Participants are welcome to post excerpts (rated for a general audience), ask questions and for advice, provide insight into the writing life, and so on. Although we are not a reviewing, editing, or beta-reading community, links to completed stories are also welcome.
  • The only thing we ask is that you help keep the atmosphere friendly and supportive.

Yay. I'm really glad you decided to keep this community going.

My goal is to answer the weekly prompts in [livejournal.com profile] oc_speedfic by writing scenes for the writing project I began for [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo. I will keep doing this until the rest of my life interferes again. :)

I'm planning on going easy on myself in December, but I do need to finish my [livejournal.com profile] yuletide story (1000 words minimum) which is at present languishing. I have some ideas but at the moment they're not coming together as writing.

My goals for December:

Get The Novella That Ate My Life done and posted (<A href="http://www.lse.org/~quietann/ges/would1.html>Chapter 1</A> is up, yay!) As a warning, it's rather dark, and R or NC17 depending on where you cut things. Get the Elena story done and posted!

Well, my December project is to make some progress on Chapter 6 of Archivist. Though, actually, since I managed two chapters in November I should probably aim to complete chapter 6.

Thank you.

Although the only surprise the chapter 6 planning has thrown up so far is that the last scene of chapter 5 is no good. Half of it needs to happen later, which will make the other half all wrong. And there's a missing scene too.

I have two main goals for December:
  • Finish Yuletide story by the Dec. 19 deadline. Subgoal: have the first draft complete & ready for beta-reading by the end of this week.
  • Read the overgrown outline (~30,000 words) I completed in September and sketch necessary revisions/additions/etc to make an actual novel out of it.

I haven't set a word target for the month; since I'll be concentrating on revisions it doesn't seem likely that I'll be adding many new words.

In December I want to:

  • Finish the two scenes in Cold Heaven I didn't quite manage to complete last month

  • Write a short fic based on Bujold's The Curse of Chalion

  • Rework a novel outline that's been hanging around for some time just needs a final push to bring it to a decent state

No writing project for December, but best wishes to those who are carrying on!

Goal for December:

Write something everyday, no matter how many shiny distractions are thrown in my path. Theoretically I'm going for a 1000 words a day, but in reality I'll be happy with 10, lol.

That's a really good target to set yourself.

But will you take Christmas Day off?! :-D

Lol, I'll probably have to be dragged down to Christmas dinner.

Goals for December:

1) Finish the story I was working on during Pico. I can feel the end nearing and I'd really like to be typing it all up/editing by January. At the very LEAST I want to write 170 words a day on it.

2) Write a short Faramir drabble-type-thingy.

3) Write a short Remus/Tonks Christmas fic.

As always, any form of comments, heckling, prodding, harassing to keep me on track are most welcome :D Heck, maybe I should set up an approapriate entry in my LJ for it...

Remus has a soft spot in my heart very close to the one reserved for Faramir, so looking forwards to hearing more about those projects :-)

Well, when they're done I'll probably post 'em in my LJ... :) My heart has a soft spot for Remus as well -- also very close to Faramir's spot. *sighs dreamily*
