Just in time. Deleted this from Day 7 where it was just added, and am putting it here :D
Not much yesterday, got up late after following election results the night before (overall happy with results, including our area) then was out most of the day. Wrote some this morning, edited a bit of older stuff, didn't really keep track of word count. Still trying to figure out some of the motivation, particularly my villain. Lots of rl models to choose from at the moment and I'm taking advantage of that :)
Here's Waverly's thoughts on his Russian agent:
Kuryakin shouldered the duties of Section Head as well. He attended the required functions, was polite enough in that punctilious way he had, and if he often cut his attendance a bit shorter than Waverly liked, in the end he felt it was a fair exchange for Kuryakin's engagement with the job at hand.
Hey! Finally showing up here a week late, RL has been keeping me busy.
Okay so ummm I haven't really worked on any fics properly this month, I think? I have been polishing and spellchecking some works from last month this week but that's it. For once I don't have any exchange assignments due this month. I have a Secret Santa due mid-December, but I'm not in the mood for Christmas-themed fic just yet so I'm postponing work on that. As such, I have no fixed plans what I'll be working on. There are two treats for exchanges I started early October, got stuck on and never returned to. Maybe I can get at least one of them unstuck?
Otherwise I'll just see where this month takes me.
Hopefully. I took another look at one of them the other day and remained as stuck as when I put it aside a month ago, but I was also tired and not in a writing mood at the time. I dunno... Hopefully.
And you're absolutely right, with holiday rush coming it might be risky to leave that fic for later. Guess it's time to finally listen to these Christmas playlists Alexa keeps trying to play for me...
No words today (frankly, there weren't many yesterday, either), and I don't expect it to be different tomorrow or the day after, as I'm going to work all day, even on Saturday. Also, other RL issues have interfered, and I'm just not feeling that grand at the moment. Perhaps on Sunday things may change.
I've begun the process of reading through my notebook, thinking deep thoughts (!), asking and answering why, why not, and what if. Expanding the initial story ideas, see what's working, what's missing. I expect I'll do that for a couple more days, maybe longer, depending on how fired up I get.
Same pattern - hills early on, AoS in the evening. 166 words on the hills, 115 on an event I went to, and some reading of the new book.
The Collingwood Society tried a new experiment this year, a Pickle Night, which as far as I can tell is mostly an excuse for getting drunk - nominally it's a commemoration of the arrival of the Pickle in England with the news of the victory at Trafalgar.
