2,800 or thereabouts today. i need a drink, thirsty work. it's all happening and lots of plot arcs that have been running for over a year now are coming to a head. ARRRRRRRRRRRGH! it's too exciting. i've actually got really hot writing that *fans self*
it's here The Key to Eternity, the Door to Damnation http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sqr97c (http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sqr97c) if anyone dare want to read.
Today I went to Glasgow in the pouring rain to hear a man talk about canals, which was interesting, but it's definitely been more a knitting day than a writing one. 95 words without really getting going...
it turned out to really make no difference timewise, as the bus I had meant to catch wandered so slowly round Ventnor that I met it driving up as i was walking down
I'm lazily trying to get a handle on the geography of the walks--I do know the one you're writing about is a separate holiday walk, beyond that i'm confused--which is normal ;)
I'm in Edinburgh, so Glasgow is less than an hour away. I'm not actually there very much - if I'm in another city it's usually Newcastle, where some good friends live - but there's a big music festival in January called Celtic Connections which usually draws me through, and while I was there I picked up a brochure for their book festival, and...
I was down in the SOUTH twice last year, which was a bit odd - years can go by when I don't make it as far as London or anywhere near - walking the South Downs Way in the spring and the Isle of Wight coastal path in the autumn.
In between I tend to run around the south of Scotland and north of England - I usually have a few weekends every year hillwalking in the Lake District - but trips to the southern highlands after Munros (https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/munros/) are becoming more common...
Awww, Scotland! I always wanted to go there for a visit, but it apparently wasn't meant to be. I've been to England a few times and to Wales once, but never managed Scotland. :(
I get no writing done most Saturdays. It's chore day: groceries, etc. I did manage two fairly long letters (well, via e mail) that I've been meaning to get to. Purely social stuff, but the longer you wait the more you need to write...
Hey, letters are writing, too! But I know what you mean. For me Sunday is the dead day writing-wise. In the morning I have Mum duty, and in the afternoon I usually fall asleep in front of the telly.
