So, I've returned to Kansas 2 - The Yellow Brick Road, otherwise known as the Babylon 5/Star Trek Voyager crossover I currently am working on. I wrote a short scene to Part 24 - more a filler than anything else, as I'm trying to keep the individual chapters of the same length and I have a little less stuff for this one. But I'm quite content with the way it turned out. I like getting into Galen's head.

I also continued posting the story to AO3; currently the first 4 chapters are up. I have about 20 or so on FF.net, but I need to go through the whole thing step by step, so that I wouldn't produce continuity errors after a decade-long break or so. Therefore I'm back to posting a chapter a week to AO3, while working on the continuation; this also gives me the chance to weed out some errors that have managed to escape spellcheck and grammar check at the first time.

Actually, it is not as bad as it sounds. It helps me with my writing tremendously, and - shoot me, but it's the truth - I like re-reading my older stuff and seeing that I'm still content with it.

Revisiting is necessary if tedious! It's impossible to remember everything you wrote/were thinking a decade ago. Did you already have the ending in mind back then? Are you still going in the same direction?

Yes, the story is actually planned out in minute detail to Chapter 54, where it's supposed to end. I've got an exercise book with one page for each chapter, and I mark the changes with different colours, underlining the names of characters to see at one sight who's supposed to show up in the respective chapters and all that.
