picowrimo, and it's good to have you here :-)
A friend and I came up with this idea one evening last week and I haven't really thought very deeply about how it all might work, so I guess the best thing to say is - please feel free to use this space however you like. It would be good to hear about people's plans, and it would certainly be good to hear about how it's all coming along as you're writing. So feel free to post to the comm to say hello, and to say what you're hoping to write, and to give updates throughout November.
Writing advice and aids always come in handy (even if only as distractions from the actual business of writing), so here are a couple of my favourites:
First, some writing tips from David Almond's website. David Almond is an award-winning children's writer, and this is a short page of some of the most encouraging writing advice I've seen online.
And, of course, the all important wordcount meter.
