“Now, now, don’t fuss, Alexander. The weather is perfect, the birds are singing, now all we need is a highwayman to cut us off and tell us to stand and deliver.”
“To which my agents would take matters into their own hands and drag him up in front of the local magistrate.”
“That town was large enough to have one, too,” Napoleon said. “Odd name, though, Tender Bottom. Where do the Brits come up with these names?”
“As opposed to Greasy Corners, Arkansas, Jackass Flats, Nevada, or Ding Dong, Texas, to name a few,” Illya muttered and jumped slightly as Mrs. Waverly laughed and hugged him from the back seat.
“Don’t annoy the driver, my dear,” Waverly cautioned. “Agents can slightly high strung."
I actually wrote something today! Only about 160 words, and I still need to do a bit of fact checking before I post, but something.
It is obviously monument season again, because having gone to Comrie to climb another hill, I made a short (but very steep) detour to visit Lord Melville's monument there
I also did quite a bit of playing with photos for a new walk report - I've never really found a good way of resizing photos on my tablet before, but I've got a new app, and although it's still quite a slow process it definitely works.
And I went for quite a long walk - the cold is definitely on the retreat, hooray!
