Once again, I leave pico wondering when I am going to learn that the more you write, the more you will write. Today's session was a struggle. After yesterday's good day, it's frustrating today, but I'll keep plonking away here, trying to write more, more, more.
Happy writing, everyone. It's been fun stopping in between all the time I've been gone this month.
Deepest thanks to Wiseheart for paddling the canoe all month while in the midst of the big home improvement project!
Ughh. I have to do mine, too:( I did the window sills the other day, which was not hard at all. But the windows, eeep. Many windows. Good luck with yours.
I am glad to have gotten this far with the WIP. I mulled things over today and really, if I get my head together next week I will have the final section sorted out.
Congrats to you for all you accomplished this month!
I spend more time thinking, talking and reading about writing than actually writing:) But pico does manage to light if not a fire, at least a low flame under me! *plonk, plonk*
I didn't do anything after my big blog post but it was something and when my brain can process things better in cooler weather, I am TOTALLY up for November
I had a pretty good time - three stories, one nearly finished WiP and another one well under way. I wish I'd written more, but that's always my feelings.
I actually got a lot written today... now that pico is over. Typical. Not so much in words but stuff of importance: I managed to finish Chapter 31, with two little unexpected twists in the last two scenes, so that's a relief. Another very complicated chapter is coming up... eventually.
I am so pleased that you organised this. It has pushed me into writing and my 'score' for the month is 2 proper letters, 17 journal entries, four drabbles - and 3,500 words written of a story that has been no more than a vague idea and some scraps of paragraphs for a couple of years.
Between last night and now I have actually written a drabble (https://tolkien-weekly.livejournal.com/1244109.html), and added over 1,000 words to that WIP. Certainly confirmation that, as akane42me says, the more you write, the more you will write!
I really didn't do anything close to what I'd hoped to do but I'm always optimistic, so come on, November ;)
I got some private, non fiction writing done; I got some writing for work done; but my stories all went by the wayside. A few notes and sentences and that was it. I could blame the hot weather, visitors, stomach bug or whatever else, but it was really my inability to establish a morning routine during the month. Gonna work on it!
And thank you wiseheart for the work you put in in running the session!
I've fallen away from an established writing time in the morning. Must get back to that. Come fall I am going to have a lot more free time, and I really will have no excuse.
In a way anything I got done this month was a bonus, and I think picowrimo did help to keep my mind on it. But I haven't got as much done in the last week or so as I'd hoped - I seem to have spent the whole of this week trying to get myself organised to go away again. So...
