Me, I had an insanely busy day. Among other things I've translated three pages of the prologue, the game rules to a book and finished translating Chapter 2. There will be corrections later, for sure, but at least the basic work is now done.

Excerpt:

Chekov shook his head in exasperation after his commanding officer had broken the connection.

“Fun,” he repeated darkly. “He vants fun. And I can figure out how to keep him safe – as if I didn’t have enough people to vorry about.”

*I know how to spell wants and worry. It's the way Chekov's accent is usually represented in the official novels.<*small>

I've been a bit better behaved today - I only seem to have got about 150 words out of it, but I've been poking around looking for background information that I didn't note down properly at the time.

(Some knitting, no sewing in of ends. And I haven't done the sums I need to do to start knitting a rainbow...)

A more modern role – museum rather than shipyard – is that of the conservators – often found, apparently, in protective clothing, or at least shown that way on screen.
