Here is the place to tell us about your daily success (or the lack of it)!
May the magic be with us all!

Nothing much for me today. I was slow off the mark this morning. I've only managed 400, but at least it's something.

Your 'nothing much' for a lot of folk would be good progress :)

I suppose, but I had wanted to hit at least 1,000 words daily. Oh well...

I've been a bit distractable again tonight, but since I seem to be having a general Age of Sail catch up I wrote a bit about Trafalgar Day and the National Monument on Calton Hill, which was intended as a war memorial for the Napoleonic Wars, but didn't get very far. 148 words.

The original intention was to build a replica of the Parthenon, and an association was formed and the foundation stone laid in 1822, but it took another four years before building started in 1826, and by 1829 it had stopped.

148 is more than 100!

Yeah, yesterday was that sort of day for many of us, I think.

I had to write two quick exercise snippet for the course, based on pictures they gave us. The second looked something like a quilt of very fat little... what are the squares called, pads? Anyway, I got up my courage and posted what I scribbled on the board and I'm not sure what they'lll think of it...

It looked like a quilt... all fat pads of silky, all-shades-of-sugar coloured something bunched or stitched together Yes, just like a quilt, soft and fluffy, warm and oh so friendly as it happily floated by the water's edge and burbled gently, affectionately to anyone who touched it, stretching out as if looking to be petted, and then wrapping its folds around fingers, arms, legs... anything it could reach.

It seemed to like people from the start. Not surprising really.

People melted so quickly inside those bubbles, and they tasted so good.

{veg} They will get an odd idea of me, I suspect...

Well done! I don't know where you find the time. I'm retired now and there seems to be less of it every day.

Experimental mitten cuffs. I think I prefer the one with the light blue (which is a bit darker than that really) on the outside, but they're not my mittens :)

The purple has to go in the middle, because it turned out that was as much as I had!

Looks like my long comment got eaten when my internet cut out so just a shorter redo

Finished editing/rewriting the WIP last night and am still not very happy with it but oh well. Now I can actually go back to writing on it instead of fighting my own old writing so that's progress.

Don't you love it when you type a nice long comment and it vanishes? Yeah, me neither...

Well done! It's hard to go back and fiddler with something older. My writing style has changed tremendously over the decades.
