March 2021 - Day 15
I hope everyone has recovered from the weekend... whatever it was you spent it with. *g*
Here is the place to tell us about your daily success (or the lack of it)!
May the magic be with us all!

Excerpt:
Ianto had just returned to his administrative duties when the alarm went off. He didn't react to it; not anymore. After the first couple of weeks he got used to the fact that these alarms were for security and he only needed to answer them when personally summoned. Compared with his work at Torchwood Three this was positively comfortable.
This time, however, Jess was summoning him through a private channel only Torchwood personnel had access to.
"Ianto, go to the interrogation room. Ethan's shot Jack; I think he's dead."
Iantop sighed. "Not again!"
In one thing there wasn't much difference between working for the ARC or for Torchwood Three: Jack still got killed at irregular intervals.

But today I have dome about 500 words. The elves have reached the new lands in Arda that have been kept for the wood elves eventually arriving;
As they descended into what was, truly, a forest the first trees had been like excited elflings when they first see a guest coming towards them – he could almost imagine their voices were saying “Look! Look! They are coming! Look – they are almost here!”
Then they began to travel through oak and beech; over streams edged in willow, ash, and alder; there were drifts of conifers and tall majestic trees that Legolas realised were the trees Tindómë had called redwoods. All around them were signs of life; reptiles and amphibians where there was water, insects and birds in the air, and signs of mammals both large and small as they followed meandering paths made not by elves, but by deer, badgers, wild boar…
Overshadowing everything though was the song of the forest. The song of the trees was overwhelming. As if each tree was trying harder than the next to greet the elves.

I find actually getting started on any written thing is sometimes the biggest step, even when i was at university and at work I would find getting they first paragraph down was always like jumping a hurdle.
Shame for having to go back into town,

My next essay (on a literature subject) isn't due for a few weeks, but I have scripting and an online quiz (eep!) before then, so it will need to wait.
