I hope everyone has recovered from the weekend... whatever it was you spent it with. *g*

Here is the place to tell us about your daily success (or the lack of it)!
May the magic be with us all!

I don't know the characters very well, but from the little I do know I can absolutely imagine that.

Very good! Love the humor!

...Ethan's shot Jack; I think he's dead."

Iantop sighed. "Not again!"

LOL

I think wherever Jack is, that would be true (now imagining him in Sesame Street... and getting killed)

After my vaccination I didn't sleep well on Sunday night (partly my slightly sore arm, but mainly because of my husband's sore arm and tossing and turning — I thought to get mine in the arm I don't sleep on — it didn't occur to him), so there was not a lot of writing yesterday.

But today I have dome about 500 words. The elves have reached the new lands in Arda that have been kept for the wood elves eventually arriving;

As they descended into what was, truly, a forest the first trees had been like excited elflings when they first see a guest coming towards them – he could almost imagine their voices were saying “Look! Look! They are coming! Look – they are almost here!”

Then they began to travel through oak and beech; over streams edged in willow, ash, and alder; there were drifts of conifers and tall majestic trees that Legolas realised were the trees Tindómë had called redwoods. All around them were signs of life; reptiles and amphibians where there was water, insects and birds in the air, and signs of mammals both large and small as they followed meandering paths made not by elves, but by deer, badgers, wild boar…

Overshadowing everything though was the song of the forest. The song of the trees was overwhelming. As if each tree was trying harder than the next to greet the elves.

Beautiful images there! I love The song of the trees was overwhelming. As if each tree was trying harder than the next to greet the elves.

What a wonderful day to be an Elf in Arda.

I wrote my what will probably my only reaction about Aaron Carter. I may be the only one who actually feels sorry for him. It is available on my journal now under the Title Oh Brothers ( see I like puns )

Writing a post is still writing, yes :)

I tend to be the other way, I'm the one who can't stand a character everyone else loves {grump}

Actually started a few sentences on my essay. Caught up on Collects since last night I had to go back into town to admit a patient (hardly ever happens, so it sucks).

Well done on getting started.

I find actually getting started on any written thing is sometimes the biggest step, even when i was at university and at work I would find getting they first paragraph down was always like jumping a hurdle.

Shame for having to go back into town,

Good luck with the essay. And good going there, with the Collects and the journaling that goes with the reading and meditating on them.

Well done!

My next essay (on a literature subject) isn't due for a few weeks, but I have scripting and an online quiz (eep!) before then, so it will need to wait.

668 words today. This fic has an ending! It's still missing a lot of middle, but hey, an ending!

Hurrah! Well done! Knowing the destination is a very good way to then plot the rest of the journey :)

Well done! It's great to have an ending — something solid to steer toward while you work out the stuff in the middle! Excellent word count.

Yay! I have done that, write the start, odd bits in the middle, and the end, and then filled in as I went...

Whatever works, it works :)

Day 15: Back to working on my Easter Story after a few days' absence. One hour, sorting through the many ideas and re-working the flow of the story. Putting most of the stuff I've written so far in the scrap drawer. But making progress as well.

Scrap drawer (I have actually labelled the file on my HD The Sock Drawer) is a good thing, and oddly fun to sometimes trawl through later...
