No new words but I've typed up the entire Chapter 17 and posted to AO3. You can read it here (https://archiveofourown.org/works/14172747/chapters/74197287). For those not up to the challenge, a snippet below.

Excerpt:

A few minutes later Jack gasped back to life.

“Don’t tell me,” he said in disgust when the usual disorientation was over. “That miserable little rat shot me.”

“With your own weapon,” Ianto said. “And he took it with him, too.”

Jack muttered something in a language that wouldn’t even exist until another two thousand years or so; yet his tone unmistakably revealed that it wasn’t something to repeat in mixed company.

“Damn it,” he then said, reverting to contemporary English. “I’ve had that Webley for a very long time.”

“Then you shouldn’t have had it on you when interrogating a psychotic killer,” Ianto pointed out. “Have you learned anything worth dying for?”

They really are a good couple — you can tell by the tone that they are comfortable with each other.

Did some brainstorming on my shabby necromancer and two other characters in the same headspace-world, which I think can be included in a little story with him.

Plus, I separately did a page and a half (not as impressive as it sounds, it's formatted!) of a script for my course, then decided I hated it. I will have to start again :( On the other hand, I did two good long discussion posts...

Brainstorming like that is fun.

Even writing that you end up hating and decide to rewrite is useful and productive — at least you know better what you and don't want now :)

Made myself do at least 1 sentence on each WIP for a total of 150 words today. Fingers crossed, I should have some dedicated writing time tomorrow. Really need to play catchup on these exchange fics.
